Leghe base Tungsteno tungsten based alloys tungsten based alloys come with very high density, high radiation shield capacity, good mechanical and lavorability characteristic.

TUNGSTEN BASED ALLOYS

DESCRIPTION

Tungsten based alloys (minimum 90%) are used in many environments: automotive, aeronautics, aerospace and defense, nuclear and medicine, construction engineering and tools and more. Thank to their density they come with excellent radiation shields capacity, good mechanical and lavorability characteristic.

ALLOYS BENEFITS

  • High density, from 17.0 to 19.0 g/cm3

  • Better lavorability than pure tungsten

  • Saving on complex products and pieces production costs

  • High elasticity values (Young’s module) and very good mechanical characteristics

  • High y and x ray shield properties

  • Innocuous for healt and environment

SPECIAL APPLICATIONS

Tungsten heavy alloys are used in nuclear reactors, as protection of the first walls of the reactor vessel to avoid the damage due to plasma exposition; moreover, are used as parts to avoid the contaminations of catalyst in fuel cells.

Densir components are used in aeronautical as mass balance o as lightning detector in helicopter blades.

Thanks to their high density and radiation shield capacity, Densir and Densco are used in both medical and nuclear medicine environment as protection for syringes and x-ray.
Densir’s mass balances are used in major league such as Formula 1 and Formule E. We can provide it with complex geometries so they can be used to balance rotating shafts and flywheels. They can be placed on the chassis and in the gearboxes or where it is considered most appropriate.
We provide components for different sport tools such as golf clubs, fishing rods, tennis rackets and much more.
Our high-density materials are used as receivers for the tips of wind turbines because, thanks to their characteristics, they lengthen the maintenance intervals given by lightning strikes.
